The two, Sarah Allen, 28, and William Page, 29, both of Maine, were stopped around 11:49 p.m. Sunday by troopers from Troop G -Bridgeport on I-95 in Darien after committing a motor vehicle violation, state police said.
After stopping the duo at the Darien rest area and speaking with the occupants, troopers determined that there were possibly illegal narcotics in the vehicle and searched the vehicle with the help of a narcotic detection K9, state police said.
The troopers located “crack” cocaine, raw heroin and drug paraphernalia. Troopers also discovered two handguns and later determined that both the operator and passenger were convicted felons.
Stamford and Darien Police Departments also assisted with the investigation.
Allen was charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit weapons in a motor vehicle; two counts of transfer of a firearm; two of carrying a pistol without a permit; criminal possession of a firearm; criminal possession of ammunition; possession of crack with intent to sell; possession of heroin; unsafe lane change, and following too closely. She is being held on $150,000 bond.
